چکیده

In this paper we consider the hermitian extension of the cross-ΨB-energy operator that we will denote by ΨH . In addition, cross energy terms are formalized through multivariate signals representation. We investigate the connection between the interaction energy function of ΨH and the cross-power spectral density (CPSD) of two complex valued signals. In particular, this link permits to use this operator for estimating the CPSD. We illustrate the interest of ΨH as a similarity between a pair of signals in frequency domain on synthetic and real data. & 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Dynamic characterization and predictability analysis of wind speed and wind power time series in Spain wind farm

The renewable energy resources such as wind power have recently attracted more researchers’ attention. It is mainly due to the aggressive energy consumption, high pollution and cost of fossil fuels. In this era, the future fluctuations of these time series should be predicted to increase the reliability of the power network. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics and short-term predictabili...

Spectral density of the QCD Dirac operator near zero virtuality.

We investigate the spectral properties of a random matrix model, which in the large N limit, embodies the essentials of the QCD partition function at low energy. The exact spectral density and its pair correlation function are derived for an arbitrary number of flavors and zero topological charge. Their microscopic limit provide the master formulae for sum rules for the inverse powers of the ei...

امواج گرانشی حرارتی در فاز شتاب‌دار کیهان

Gravitational waves are considered in thermal vacuum state. The amplitude and spectral energy density of gravitational waves are found enhanced in thermal vacuum state compared to its zero temperature counterpart. Therefore, the allowed amount of enhancement depends on the upper bound of WMAP-5 and WMAP-7 for the amplitude and spectral energy density of gravitational waves. The enhancement of ...

Power Spectral Density Analysis of Purkinje Cell Tonic and Burst Firing Patterns From a Rat Model of Ataxia and Riluzole Treated

Introduction: Purkinje Cell (PC) output displays a complex firing pattern consisting of high frequency sodium spikes and low frequency calcium spikes, and disruption in this firing behavior may contribute to cerebellar ataxia. Riluzole, neuroprotective agent, has been demonstrated to have neuroprotective effects in cerebellar ataxia. Here, the spectral analysis of PCs firing in control, 3-acety...

Smoothed Nonlinear Energy Operator-Based Amplitude Modulation Features for Robust Speech Recognition

In this paper we present a robust feature extractor that includes the use of a smoothed nonlinear energy operator (SNEO)-based amplitude modulation features for a large vocabulary continuous speech recognition (LVCSR) task. SNEO estimates the energy required to produce the AM-FM signal, and then the estimated energy is separated into its amplitude and frequency components using an energy separa...
